SAIPEM PROFILE

SAIPEM is organised in three business units: Offshore, Onshore and Drilling. The Company enjoys a superior competitive position for the provision of EPC/EPCI services to the oil industry both onshore and offshore; with a particular focus on the toughest and most technologically challenging projects - activities in remote areas, deepwater, gas, “difficult” oil. Its drilling services continue to be distinctive, operating in many of the oil and gas industry’s ‘hotspots’, frequently in synergy with its onshore and offshore activities.




SONANGOL HISTORY

On the threshold of Angola's Independence, a working group was set up in the oil industry both to support the industry and to mobilize Angolans working in the business. The main objective was the strategic preparation of the oil industry after the proclamation of independence.

Kwanda is a joined venture between Sonangol and Delong Hersent Lda - which is itself a 100% subsidiary of Saipem SA. The company is responsible for managing the Kwanda base in Soyo - designed to provide logistical support to oil & gas companies operating in Angola (off & on-shore).
